College Football Week 9 Preview

Penn State is Gameday once again and is playing sixth ranked Ohio State.  Ohio State has a great experienced quarterback in J.T. Barrett and also has a powerful defensive line.  It will be difficult for the Nittany Lions of Penn State to run the ball with their weak offensive line.  So don't expect Saquon Barkley to have a great week.  He may still have one but there is a lesser chance of it.  I expect this game to not be a high scoring game as both of these defenses allow less than 16 points per game.  I think that Penn State beats Ohio State 24-21.  Same score as last year's upset!

Notre Dame moved up to number nine and plays number 14 NC State.  Everyone has talked about the Notre Dame running game and how good they are.  Those people are right!  Josh Adams has had a fantastic season moving into the Heisman picture.  Also, Brandon Wimbush has been great on the ground.  However, I think that he still needs to prove himself throwing the ball.  Wimbush is going to have to throw the ball well this week if he wants to win because the Wolfpack allow 287 passing yards per game!  However, NC State has a great defensive line with Bradley Chubb and only allows 91 rushing yards per game.  If Josh Adams can run the ball efficiently, he should be in everyone's top 3 in the Heisman race.  The key to the victory in this game for the Irish is to force turnovers with their defense.  Their defense has done it all year and must continue in order to win this football game.  I expect the Notre Fighting Irish to win this game 35-24.
